Wooden pile foundations are highly reliable. But as in any game, certain rules apply. Compliance with many of these rules is guaranteed by the KOMO® certificate. This states the quality requirements and also the permitted species of wood.

 

The ‘rules of the game’ are based on the following:

 

·                   Wood species: Pine, Larch and Douglas Fir

·                   Various diameter categories

·                   Independent quality control - in the warehouse and at the site of work

·                   Pile head far enough under the watertable

 

With the right kind of concrete pile extender on top of it, the Timber Pile head is guaranteed to last for a long time under the watertable.
